Midland Shooters Association, Inc. - Midland, Texas

About Us: Membership

Any citizen of the United States eighteen years of age or over may become a member of this organization on vote of the Board of Directors after subscribing to the NRA pledge and payment of the usual fees and dues.

A membership is considered a family membership for purposes of range use within the limits of the range regulations. This family membership includes the parent or guardian, his wife (her husband) and all children under the age of 19 (21 for students) within the household.

Membership dues are $100.00 per year for a family membership. Extra Rifle & Pistol Range electronic gate card keys are $10 each. The membership year runs from September 1st through August 31st. For memberships paid in April or later, dues for April through August are prorated and combined with the next year's dues. 2007 fees for a membership expiring August 31, 2008 are:

  • April - $148
  • May - $140
  • June - $132
  • July - $124, and
  • August - $116.

Note: Beginning August 1, 2005, all members who use the Rifle and Pistol Range must have attended a range safety orientation — new shooters, experienced competitors, lifelong hunters, CHL and NRA instructors, law enforcement, everybody. Every member who shoots on the MSA Rifle & Pistol Range must understand safe gun handling and range rules.

If you are interested in becoming a member of MSA, we invite you to print a copy of our Operating and Safety Rules (Range Rules) and Guest Policy (revised 8/27/07) and Membership Application form (PDF document; revised 8/19/07). Please read the welcome message and the Range Rules, then complete the Membership Application and mail it along with your payment to the address shown on the application form.

If for any reason your application is not accepted, your payment will be returned immediately.
