Labor Day Weekend Orientation Canceled

In celebration of Labor Day - MSA will NOT be having the orientation originally scheduled for September 4th. The next scheduled orientation will be September 11, 2010.

Hunter Education Classes - Remaining 2010 Dates

Every Hunter born on or after September 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunters Education Training Course, (including out of state hunters). Minimum age of certification is 9 years of age. Texas Hunters Education Training Course Certification is accepted in all 50 states.

Cost:   $15.00 per student
Where:   Midland Shooters Association Club House (directions)

Classes for 2010 are as follows:

• Thursday, Sept 23rd, Friday, Sept 24th, 6pm - 9pm, & Saturday, Sept 25th, 8am - NOON
  
  
• Thursday, Oct 21st, Friday, Oct 22nd, 6pm - 9pm, & Saturday, Oct 23rd, 8am - NOON
  
  
• Thursday, Nov 18th, Friday, Nov 19th, 6pm - 9pm, & Saturday, Nov 20th, 8am - NOON
  
  
• Thursday, Dec 16th, Friday, Dec 17th, 6pm - 9pm, & Saturday, Dec 18th, 8am - NOON

(You must complete 3 days and pass with a 70% to receive your certification)

PLEASE BRING TO CLASS (for each student): Social Security Number, Drivers License #, Date of Birth, Mailing Address, Eye & Ear protection, Sun Screen, Hat, Drinks, sack lunch and/or snacks, and if you are under the age of 17 one guardian.

Volunteers needed for Rifle/Pistol Range Orientations

The club is looking for volunteers to help with orientations at the Rifle and Pistol range. We will need a team of three to five people at each orientation which is conducted the first, second and third Saturdays of each month.  Volunteering for an orientation class, you would need to be at the range about 2:00 pm and class should be finished at or before 5:00 pm. There will be a schedule sent out so that you can choose the dates you would like to volunteer.

Gate Card Reminder

The gate card you have now will continue to work; members will NOT be issued a new gate card every year. If you have lost your card, you may contact the MSA Secretary (Kayla Rogers; phone 432.563.5116; email secretary@midlandshooters.com) about a replacement card. For those of you have renewed your membership, your gate card is active and should work just as it always has. Your gate card is also your membership card, it has your name and membership number on it.
